The Trip with the Gangsta Boys (Verdict: Singapore)

Pre-essay: Due to the lengthy discussion put forward by Captain Blake, I have decided to split it up into the following: Introduction, Verdict: Singapore, Verdict: Americans, A Final Word. There is no amendment to the Captain's choice of words and style of paragraphing though. Everything is as it is. This 2nd instalment is by far the shortest of the 4. I do trust that Singaporeans can all beam with pride at what the Captain has to say.

The Trip with the Gangsta Boys, (Capt.) Warren Blake
with some reflections on the coming Clash of Civilizations (Verdict: Singapore)

The Singapore kids were about as pleasant as any I have sailed with, eager to learn about sailing and the sea, informed and concerned about the environment, quite conscious of the consequences of their actions, eager for new experiences, although not terribly brave in facing them, and ever so polite and properly deferential towards their Captain, even touchingly sharing their snacks with me. Having them on board was a great pleasure .... and so there really is no great story to tell apart from this. These kids do rank amongst my favourite shipmates.
