Christmas

Christmas has just flown by. It would have been just like any other day, except that on this day, Jesus was apparently born. This is, however, a false concept that somehow found its way into our pile of factsheets. Just go onto a search engine online and search for the history of christmas -- the 25th of December used to be pagan, not Christian. Many already know this, but they do not care. Why? Because it is a day of celebration, a day of giving, of receiving, of making merry, of strengthening family bonds, and the list goes on.

Christmas should not be celebrated. As it has already been established, christmas is a pagan festival. Do Christians celebrate Deepavali? Do Muslims celebrate Chinese New Year? Likewise, why do people indulge in religious festivals that are not theirs?

Christians too have their own set of festivals, and these come in the form of the many feasts throughout the year, as mentioned in the bible. Why then do Christians celebrate something God has not said to do so but instead do not enjoy the festivals God has said to celebrate? Think about it.
